What we use

GitHub sign-in: when you sign in, GitHub gives us an access token with read-only permissions. It is kept only in a signed session cookie that scripts can’t read, never in a database.

Your account: your GitHub user id, username, name and email (when GitHub shares it), your plan, and when you first and last used Linescape. We use it to run your account and plan, and to write to you about the service.

Repository data: pull requests, reviews, checks and the people involved, read from GitHub when you open a view. We don’t read or store your source code beyond what a pull request’s metadata shows.

Usage analytics: Google Analytics measures visits to the site (pages viewed, rough location, device).

Billing: if you subscribe, Creem collects your payment details and billing address. We never see your card number.

Where it is kept, and for how long

Your browser keeps a local copy of the views you opened, so they load instantly. You can clear it from the app or your browser.

Our servers keep temporary caches of GitHub data to stay fast and within GitHub’s limits. They expire automatically, within 12 hours at most.

Your session lasts 30 days. Signing out deletes it from your browser.

Your account record is kept while you use Linescape, and deleted on request or after 24 months without a visit.

Who processes it

GitHub (the data source), Vercel (hosting), Neon (account database), Upstash (temporary cache), Google Analytics (analytics) and Creem (payments and invoicing). We don’t sell your data or share it with anyone else.

International transfers

Some of these providers process data outside the European Union, mainly in the United States: GitHub (where your repositories already live), Vercel (hosting), Upstash (temporary cache) and Google Analytics.

These transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses in its data processing agreement.

We keep what we store to a minimum: your account record, never your source code or your pull requests (those stay on GitHub, read when you open a view). Fonts and the app itself are served by Linescape, with no request to third-party font services.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to its use. Write to us and we will answer within 30 days.

You can revoke Linescape’s access to GitHub at any time, from GitHub’s settings (Applications).
